Brian Olowude, Ph.D. Coordinator: Psychological Services for 5 State Center Community College Campuses brought the Alive Mental Health Fair to 3 of the 5 campuses as part of the CALMHSA Grant. This video contains some of the secrets students on each of those three campuses shared with their peers and us. It also has the outcomes of what occurred on those three amazing days in March.
Jessie at Reedley College spent two hours adding to the graffiti canvas that we brought to the school that day. He added incredible mushrooms and graphic renderings that were a cross between graffiti and pop art.
He also won the 11 AM drawing for a 16 Gig Thumb Drive fittingly.
At Fresno City College the Alive Fair was moved out doors where we experienced the powerful winds of the San Joaquin Valley. At FCC we put on two separate QPR trainings and screened the Bullied Documentary and the Reason To Live Documentary.
All in all the three campuses as different as they were from each other all had an enthusiasm for learning the warning signs, creating secrets, tagging the graffiti wall and being a part of this amazing event we call the Alive! Mental Health Fair.
