The Universal Worship was founded by Sufi Master Hazrat Inayat Khan in 1921 in order to promote tolerance, understanding and spiritual awakening for humanity. We offer a prayer service, kindling lights in honor of the world’s religions. One candle is lit symbolically representing all those who, whether known or unknown, have held aloft the light of Truth. Scriptures from each of the religions represented on the altar are read. The service uses music, song, dance, sharing from the heart, and meditation to unite and uplift the participants. The Universal Worship is also a catalyst to bring together clergy and people of all faiths in peace and harmony.
