In episode 1 of our brand new series The Common Thread, director Darius Devas explores the loss of his friend, Indigenous poet Alice Eather, to suicide, and we learn about the importance of picking up the phone and talking about feelings when times are tough. “At the end of the day, I can’t lose another friend like Alice. We need to have these conversations.” – Darius Devas

The Common Thread is a six-part documentary web series in which Australians from all walks of life share their journeys with mental health, and tell us about the tools and tactics that have supported their recovery. Episode 2 is ‘Coast’ and drops next Tuesday, July 16.
