At age 70 Frank decided to raise awareness for PTSD by walking 750 miles across New York State. As one of the longest living US Veterans diagnosed with 100% PTSD related disabilities Frank Romeo has embraced his trauma and made it his life’s mission to educate others. For 30 years he has travelled the country advocating for this socially crippling disease, breaking down barriers and attacking the stigma surrounding Mental Health. Starting in Buffalo NY and ending in his hometown of Bay Shore Long Island NY he slept in shelters, lived among our homeless and helped shed light on the situations that so many veterans face today.
This transformative film amplifies Frank’s mission. It is a call to action for all of us to take part in changing the way we treat veterans and educate young students about military service and mental health.
We understand that not everyone can contribute financially but there are other ways you can help! Help us spread the word about Walk With Frank by telling your friends, family coworkers and neighbors about our film and Frank’s mission. Please share our campaign page on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any of your favorite social media sites. You can also make a difference just by reaching out to your local VA to see what you can do to help support veterans in your community.
This film is just a small part of a larger mission, and we thank you for taking the walk with us! Together we can make this happen.
