This film was created to be presented in front of members of the South Korean National Assembly at the 2021 Korea Land and Housing Corporation Exposition.
The film focuses on a family with a young daughter and a pregnant mother who moves to a new ‘smart city.’ As her mother goes into labor and the daughter waits to meet her younger brother, she looks forward to living in the smart city, which incorporates state-of-the-art technology, with her new young brother and parents.
Participating in the production of the piece as an assistant director has taught me the importance of storyboarding and advanced preparation. This production was partially shot using drones and CGI, which was difficult to experience before. Such experiences have exposed me to the types of filming techniques I want to learn more about.
